Christopher Wilson: listen

Easel

(Christopher Wilson)
Easel
(C. Wilson)

adsorbingly temporary
captured in some prose
the tarnished tongue of one so young
who never will be old
tenure of the forged
facsimile for taste
reflecting all this friction
subsequent addiction

you're not looking...through the glass
you just stare...at the glass
forgot how to breathe again

you were nowhere around
the striking out events
that set me off my feet
put me on the streets again
so march the massing numbers
the memory will reign
once a mere memorial
the multitude of names

you're not looking...through the glass
you just stare...at the glass
forgot how to breathe again

you're not looking...through the glass
you just stare...at the glass
forgot how to breathe again

you're not looking...you just stare
I'll never never lose your name

you're not looking...through the glass
you're just staring...at the glass
my memory will always reign

no...I'll never stop looking
no...I'll never stop staring
no...I'll never ever never lose that pain
